The Department of Commerce was established in the year 1993 and has a legacy of more than 25 glorious years.The Department is the most active one with tremendous potential for growth. The modern world is a world of commerce and business. The Department provides 3 years course of Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) Degree. Staff members are actively involved in teaching, learning, research and have showed major share in publications. Commerce education covers diversified fields of education and research in different aspects of business environment. At present, the Department admits students for the M.Com. and Ph.D. Degrees. Research and innovation is the departmental forte and currently, the department have four research guides who have completed four minor research projects funded by UGC and has produced more than 20 Ph. D. students. A wide range of industrial, banking,finance and business management , Business Economics , topics are covered under Ph.D. programme.
